2012 Honorable Zainab Maina, Nigeria Federal Minister for Women Affairs visits CHIPROM
The Honorable Minister for Women Affairs, Hajia Zainab Maina while on a working visit to Oyo State visited CHIPROMS on the 12th of September 2012. She arrived at exactly 9:28 am in company of other Government functionaries both from the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and from the Oyo state Ministry of Women Affairs which was led by the Oyo State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Tinuke Osunkoya.
On her arrival, the Hon. Minister was given a warm welcome by the staff and children, she was taken round the orphanage home to see our facility and was also acquainted with the Mission, Vision Statement and Objectives of CHIPROMS. Honourable Maina was impressed with the level of the structure and cleanliness of our immediate environment. She further reiterated that this is the type of environment needed for a Childs proper development.
The Honourable Minister introduced her entourage which consists mostly of government officials from the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, officials from the Oyo State Ministry of Women Affairs, Politicians and Pressmen.
The Honourable Minister took time to play with the children especially Elizabeth and the Ajimobi twins with whom she took pictures. She charged the children to be of good behaviour as they are the leaders of tomorrow and also encouraged all CHIPROM staff to be diligent in discharging their duties. The children presented the Honurable Minister with a ‘THANK YOU’ card signed by the entire CHIPROM community.After the presentation of the card, the children sang CHIPROM anthem and while the Minister was leaving, she presented some items to the home. These include Toiletries, Baby cloths, Baby diapers, Detergent and Beverages.
