MISSION OF CHILDREN OF PROMSE MINISTRIES (CHIPROM) NIGERIA

  1. We function as a Transition home

The goal of functioning as a Transition home is  to rescue and care for children  who through referrals from social services, pastors, schools and community leaders need transitional accommodation and counseling until such time they can safely rejoin their own family or be adopted into a carefully screened family who desires to love and nurture the child as their own. Much time is spent making sure that each adoption or reunification is in the best interest of the child in question.

  1. We function as an Orphanage
  • We focus on providing a loving home environment where every child is treated equally with dignity and respect.
  • We are committed to value their worth by providing nutrition, clean water, medical and dental care, suitable clothing, education and moral guidance based on Christian ethics.
  • We are committed to safeguard the children in our care from any kind of abuse, exploitation and harmful substances and have implemented strict guidelines to protect and ensure their personal safety.
  • We integrate our children into the community by holding social affairs at our home and taking the children to other social activities in order to acquaint them with appropriate social behaviour.
  • We liaison with community leaders, social welfare departments, Pastors, neighbours and the juvenile court system to receive referrals for intake to our home.
  1. We offer Counseling Services

We provide counseling services to pregnant teens, troubled youth and for displaced, disadvantaged and orphan children.  The counseling services include referrals to professionals in both government and private social service agencies.

  1. We offer Parental Training and Education Services

This program is designed to help parents (single or couples) gain knowledge and useable skills in order to provide for their child/children who they cannot currently adequately care for.

We provide accommodation for the child/children for a specified period of time at the home while the parent(s) are in training for the release of the child/children back into their care.
